The Blessed Self

Abstract

The secret of acquiring all knowledge is to know the ‘self’,

And only inner self could penetrate the world of unknown.

Not only through the study of scriptures, nor learning much,

Just deeply know the ‘self’ with your own help.

When we understand who/what we really are,

Then alone can comprehend the purpose of our existence.

We the Man endowed with divine power; not born sinners,

 Hence, monitoring the mind from its restless roaming,

One can start with a bitter taste in the beginning.

Therefore, to be blessed choose the good not the pleasant;

Verily, the illumined ‘self’ discovers the true happiness

 And wants nothing else who realizes the bliss of ‘self’.

Must care to imbibe divine qualities to reveal true being,

As he who meditates upon him is honoured by all other beings.

Blessed is the man who realizes ‘self’ in all beings

Thus, the wise become immortal in transient things.
